From 2016 to 2020, I completed a Master’s degree in Cinema at Tarbiat Modarres University, Tehran. My master’s thesis focused on the analysis of Bahram Beyzai’s and Asghar Farhadi’s cinema through the lens of Jacques Lacan’s works.
In 2019, as part of my master’s coursework, I created the short film Echo, which was featured in the experimental section of the 16th Nahal International Short Film Festival in Tehran.
In 2020, I directed The Winter’s Ash, a short film produced as my master’s thesis project. The film premiered at the prestigious 74th Salerno International Festival in Italy.
‘Collapse’ is my first independent feature film.
